“Oeno-tourism is even acquiring a new air of glamour in the UK, thanks in part to Kent winery Chapel Down, which recently unveiled a new tasting room and private dining space with a bespoke bar."
The Financial Times, 2017
“Chapel Down offers an enjoyable way to familiarise yourself with the best of British. If you're simply after a pleasant stroll, pick up a map at the shop which details a number of trails that criss-cross the 68-acre estate. To peep into the more technical aspects of the process, from harvesting to bottling, take a guided tour. Even if you don't have time for a tour, the shop is a must, selling all the Chapel Down favourites and staff will lead you through a free mini-tasting if you can't decide. To top it all there's an excellent restaurant where you can dine on Modern British food on an outdoor deck, with fabulous vineyard views all around.”
The Independent, 2016
“For a close to home stay with all the essentials - that's good food, good booze and good views - try Kent. More specifically try Chapel Down, home to some of the best vineyards in the UK (and) British produced sparkling wine that's really good. Don't let us drone on - if you head to Chapel Down you can learn all about the wine producing yourself, take a wander around the vineyards and try some of its wines. All for a bargainous £10.”
Escapism Magazine, 2016
“Chapel Down offers a polished visitor experience complete with a retail shop and full-service restaurant. Its vineyard tours and tutored tastings provide a comparatively slick but comprehensive overview of the process from vine to bottle.”
The Wall Street Journal, 2015
